Helping you access deeper healing—mind, body, and soul.

My Journey to Becoming a Therapist

I’ve always been drawn to alternative paths to healing. My career began in the medical cannabis field and led me to pursue a doctorate in natural health in 2011. But a deeply personal experience in 2016—following a traumatic labor during the birth of my daughter—shifted my focus even more toward trauma recovery.

Talk therapy helped me begin to process what had happened, but something deeper still felt unresolved. That’s when I discovered EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing). Within a few sessions, I started to feel like myself again—physically, emotionally, and mentally. Inspired by that experience, I went back to school to become a therapist.

Since then, I’ve become trained in EMDR, certified in Brainspotting, and specialize in Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP). KAP has been especially impactful in helping clients access and release trauma that traditional talk therapy alone often can’t reach. My approach focuses on body-based modalities that target the deeper brain regions where trauma is held.

I also offer Equine-Assisted Psychotherapy. Horses have been a part of my life since I was a child, and I’ve always felt a deep connection to their intuitive, grounding presence. My own horse, Jake, taught me the quiet strength of simply being with someone as they heal. Today, I bring that same philosophy to my work with clients—in both office and outdoor settings.

Healing isn’t linear, and it’s never one-size-fits-all. My goal is to support each client in finding the path that feels most authentic and effective for them.

My Clinical Approach

Healing That Goes Beyond Talk Therapy

I specialize in trauma-informed care, combining modern neuroscience with integrative healing practices including:

  • EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing)

  • Brainspotting

  • Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP)

  • Equine-Assisted Psychotherapy

Talk therapy works at the surface level of the brain (the prefrontal cortex), but trauma lives deeper—in the subcortical regions. To truly heal, we must access those parts. That’s why I integrate somatic and experiential therapies like Brainspotting, EMDR, and KAP, which allow us to go far beyond insight alone.

Nature-Based Healing with Horses

Equine-Assisted Psychotherapy

I’ve had horses in my life since I could walk. My own horse, Jake, was my grounding force during difficult times, showing me how to hold space, be present, and listen beyond words.

Equine therapy provides a powerful alternative to office-based work. In partnership with these emotionally intuitive animals, clients often feel more regulated, grounded, and connected. If you’re curious about working with me in a natural setting, please reach out to explore this option.

Outside the Therapy Room

When I’m not seeing clients, you’ll often find me hiking with my Belgian Malinois, practicing yoga, riding horses, or spending time outdoors with family and friends. Nature and movement are essential parts of my own wellness—and I bring that same grounded, embodied approach into the therapy space.
